    Turkey

    Information / Baghdad ..
Foreigners bought 40 thousand and 616 housing units, in Turkey during the 11 months, with 32% of the total sales in that period, and the Iraqis came to the top of the list, followed by the Iranians.
This was revealed by the report of the Turkish Statistics Authority (TÜİK), indicating that this number is expected to reach 45 thousand in the year-end census.
The report pointed out that the city of Istanbul ranked first and recorded 50% increase in sales of housing units, to come on top of the best-selling Turkish cities for housing units for foreigners, by 18 thousand and 207 housing units, while the city of Antalya came in second with 7 thousand 994 housing units, an increase 11% compared to last year.
As for the third place, it was the share of the capital, Ankara, with sales of two thousand and 222 housing units, then Bursa with a number of units of 2001 units, then Yalova by 1542 housing units, then Sakarya by 1112 units, then Mughala by 868 units, then Trabzon by 847 units, then Aiden with 765 units, then Samsun with 762 housing units.
As for nationalities, the Iraqis came first with 6 thousand and 699 housing units, then the Iranians came in second place with 4 thousand and 660 units, then the Russians numbered two thousand and 531 housing units.
The Saudis came in the fourth place with two thousand and 14 units, then the Afghans with 1879 units, then the Kuwaitis with 1730 units, then the Germans with 1576 units, then the Jordanians with 1442, then the Yemenis with 1323, then the English with 1247, then the Azerbaijanis with 1045, then the Palestinians Number 991, then Libyans number 970, then the Egyptians number 891, then the Swiss number 699, then the Kazakhs numbered 672, then the Qataris numbered 650, then the Ukrainians numbered 616, then the Americans numbered 596, then the Lebanese numbered 590 housing units.
During the past five years, citizens of countries experiencing political and security turmoil top the list of foreigners with the highest purchase of real estate in Turkey, and promotional campaigns for real estate companies contributed to encouraging foreigners to purchase housing in exchange for Turkish citizenship.
The decision to reduce the value of the real estate eligible for obtaining Turkish citizenship after the economic crisis that struck Turkey attracted investments in the real estate that stagnated.
Since September 2018, the value of the property owned in Turkey that allows its foreign owner to obtain Turkish citizenship has been reduced from only $ 1 million to $ 250,000, provided it is not sold three years ago. Ended / 25
