Al-Masoudi: Important obstacles to the task of the Constitutional Amendments Committee

The deputy of the "Saeron" coalition, Riyad Al-Masoudi, announced the completion of the 126-committee committee to amend the constitution, stating: "The main obstacle before the committee lies with 15 governing articles that need political agreement."
Al-Masoudi said in a press statement: "The Constitutional Amendments Committee continues in its work, and it has completed up to 126 articles, among which the amendment and other articles were made, which were kept as they are."
He added: "The committee faces important obstacles, including that some articles can not be modified except after the approval of the region, the Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives, and it has been called ruling or red articles, and these articles are limited to 15 articles, including the form of the system and the number of voters for each deputy and the Federation Council." Likewise, Article 140, which relates to the disputed territories. "
Al-Masoudi said: "The completion of the constitutional amendments will not take place during the next transitional period, and voting on the amendments will be carried over until after the early elections."
