Pope Francis warned, on Sunday, that the decrease in the number of Christians in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and the Middle East is causing great damage to the societal fabric, while affirming that the hope for reconciliation is still possible.

The Pope welcomed "the call of Christians to return to Mosul and raise our prayers for all victims of the war," stressing that "hope for reconciliation is still possible."
He added, "Let us pray together for all the victims of war and so that we live in harmony and peace, transcending religious affiliations," stressing that "brotherhood is stronger than murder and that peace is stronger than war." End / 25
