{Baghdad} Euphrates News said Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, during a meeting with His Holiness the Supreme Pontiff Pope Francis said Christian brothers in Iraq are the focus of our pride and our love and we are keen to take care of them and protect them and securing their freedom to practice their religious rituals.
A statement of the prime minister's office and the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of it today, that "Abadi said during the meeting that the Iraqis from all their constituents stand united to defend their country against terrorism, which does not represent Islam and targets all religious groups, including Muslims and Christians," he said. " Christian brothers in Iraq are the focus of our pride and our love and we are keen to take care of them and protect them and securing their freedom to practice their religious rituals. " He Abadi for" appreciation for the positions of the Pope in call for unity and rejection of terrorism and extremism and urged Christians to stay in their country of Iraq and defend it.
