The expert on political affairs, Ali Al-Mazni, stated, on Wednesday, that the Iraqi citizen did not witness any positive role for Parliament throughout the period of the fourth session except for the decision to remove foreign forces and is still waiting for activation.
"The Iraqi citizen is not one of the concerns of the House of Representatives," Al-Mazni said in a statement to the agency, indicating that "most of what some blocs seek is to achieve special interests and factional benefits, forgetting what the people expect of them specifically in the issue of passing the budget."
He added, "Next Monday will be the last opportunity that determines whether the House of Representatives is actually seeking, as in the statements, to provide aid to the people by ending the vote on the budget and passing it."
He explained, "Parliament is required to play a heroic role by overcoming all obstacles, especially the crisis of agreement with the region and forcing it to submit to the fait accompli and not push towards deepening differences."
He noted that "the dangerous turning point in the next stage will be in the category of the Kurds because they have exhausted all the justifications for waiting, and the Al-Kazemi government has nothing to do but seek to push the parliament towards working according to the system of financing the fiscal deficit and voting on the budget."
He pointed out that "the budget took more than the required time and thus disrupted many projects closely related to the Iraqi citizen and the stability of his economic situation."
