    Information / Special ...
The legal expert, Ali Al-Tamimi, confirmed, on Sunday, that the constitution has identified two ways to dissolve the House of Representatives, provided that elections take place after the dissolution decision within two months, indicating that the constitution did not specify the reasons for the solution and made them vague.
Al-Tamimi told "the information" that "the Iraqi constitution specified the two mechanisms to dissolve the parliament, the first through a request submitted by a third of parliament members to the presidency and the vote of an absolute majority of the members."
He added that "the second mechanism is the submission of a request by the prime minister and the approval of the president of the republic on the matter," noting that "in both cases, in the event that parliament is dissolved, the government in its entirety is considered resigned and matters are running a business."
Al-Tamimi explained that "the administrative judiciary replaces parliament after the dissolution, to be the watchdog of the government's work during the caretaker period," noting that "the constitution stipulates that in the event that parliament is dissolved, elections take place within two months only and cannot be postponed afterwards."
He continued, "What is wrong with the matter? The constitution did not specify any details of the reasons for the dissolution and why the call for dissolving Parliament, and the text does not tolerate any efforts to manipulate it and interpret it in another way."
