The Parliamentary Foreign Ministry reveals to NRT the fraud and international monitoring of the elections

A member of the Foreign Relations Committee, Muhammad Iqbal, said on Saturday that some political blocs refuse international monitoring of the upcoming elections, for fear of the accuracy and rigor of the procedures.

Iqbal stated in a statement to NRT  Arabia, (April 10, 2021), that "fears of electoral fraud persist, and are based on previous experience, as it was marred by many observations, as well as recording very high rates of fraud, while the participation rates were low."
He added, "Despite the many remarks made by those affected, from some political blocs, and even from some countries and organizations that indicated fraud in the elections, but it was unfortunately," noting that "the Iraqi people today are picking up the results of the fraud of these elections in which weak governments were established. Iqbal indicated that "there is a segment of MPs who went up to Parliament by fraud, and did not present anything to their audience, but increased the political chaos that has spread, especially in the recent time."
He explained, "There was a massive burning process immediately after the elections with equipment that would verify the results. Therefore, the United Nations today stresses quickly disclosing the results so as not to be tampered with by some politically influential and even influential parties in their relations."
Iqbal continued, "Despite the changes that have occurred in the structure of the commission, but there are still some indications of the influence of political parties in their work, and that the United Nations is trying to block the road to them."
He continued that "there is a reaction that is still perhaps not clear to the public and the media that some political blocs do not agree on the issue of international monitoring of elections, and are apprehensive about this issue in particular, because it expects that the elections will be more accurate and strict."
He added, "This matter reinforces the fear of the United Nations to postpone the elections, but the new political proposal today is to combine the provincial council elections with the parliamentary elections." Its original date and this proposition is present, but it did not take long into the discussion .
Iqbal pointed out that "the date for updating the biometric cards ends within 5 days, and this is a fact that I consider very negative, as it is assumed that the update processes will continue until the last month. As for stopping them now, we allow the opportunity for those who try to manipulate the elections by obtaining previous electronic cards."
He concluded by saying, "Neither the international nor the regional community, and even the Iraqi community, wants to repeat the previous experience, because it was a difficult experience and was not fair to many."
