The Central Bank of Iraq's hard currency sales fell Tuesday to $200 million.
The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) saw a 3.85 percent drop in sales today to 200 million, 454,000 and 12 dollars, covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1,460 dinars per dollar, compared to Monday, when sales reached 208 million dollars, according to a correspondent for Shafq News.
Our correspondent added that the purchases of $165 million, $54,000 and $12,000 went to strengthen balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, while the remaining $35 million and $400,000 went cash.
He pointed out that 32 banks have met requests to strengthen assets abroad, 17 banks to meet cash orders, 19 participating exchange companies and 271 participating brokering companies.
