    {Local: Al-Furat News} The General Company for Ports of Iraq called on the owners of the marine vessels located in the waters of the Shatt Al-Arab to lift them.

    The company's general manager, Farhan Al-Fartousi, said in a press statement that "if these marine vessels are working, all their papers must be valid, and if the owner does not have papers proving that his marine plot is valid, he must evacuate them and submit them to shredding and scraping."
    He pointed out that the company "will, as of this week, give its owner a period of 45 days to raise it. In the event that this does not happen, the company will raise it as scrap and consider it among its properties."
    And Al-Fartousi indicated that "after the expiry of the mentioned 45-day period, mobile teams belonging to the port company, equipped with special equipment, will lift all the marine pieces that have not been lifted by the beneficiaries from the waters of the Shatt as scrap and are considered the property of the company."
