{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Electricity announced the loss of 2,600 megawatts from the national electricity system.
"There is no supply of electrical energy from Iran, and it is only supplies of fuel and gas supplied," the ministry's spokesman, Ahmed al-Abadi told {Euphrates News}.
And between "the gas was reduced in the central region from 47 million cubic meters to 20 million cubic meters, while in the southern region it was reduced from 17 to five million cubic meters."
Al-Abadi indicated that this "led to the loss of 2,600 megawatts in the system, and we seek not to harm the central and southern regions from this reduction."
He stressed, "There are efforts to replace fuel from the national system, in cooperation with the Ministry of Oil, from fuel and national gas."
Today, Iran announced the suspension of the export of electricity to Iraq.
The Executive Director of the Iranian Electricity Administration Company, Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, said that the suspension of exports is due to the necessity of meeting the country's needs internally.
