    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

After a round of interpretations, analyzes and questions, about the reason for the discrepancy between customs revenues and their estimates of imports entering the country, compared to the data announced by the exporting countries as well as the amounts of money sold by the Central Bank of hard currency.
According to the report of the exports of the official countries, the volume of exports to Iraq from only five countries is around 33 billion. In contrast, the report on imports issued by the official Iraqi authorities stated that the total imports from these countries are only 6 billion dollars.

For its part, the Ministry of Planning commented on this inconsistency, noting that most of these differences resulted from the entry of most of these goods from the ports of the Kurdistan region, meaning that the total goods entering from the ports of the region amounted to up to 20 billion dollars.
For his part, he who is interested in economic affairs says that "if the customs tariff rate is 7% as the least possibility, then the customs tariff imports through the Kurdistan region are up to 1.4 billion dollars as a minimum."
He asked, "Why does the region demand its dues from the center when it does not give the center's government any data on the border crossings and the amount of customs value collected," noting that "instead of the central government putting pressure on the regional government to pay its obligations, it sends it two days ago 200 billion dinars as part of the District dues.
He explained that "the problem is not with the regional government, the problem is the weakness of the central administration and the presence of voices in the Iraqi state system that turn a blind eye to pressure on the region for electoral and political ends."
