Shafaq News / Candidates for the presidency of the Republic of Iraq won a majority of votes by 275 votes so the Parliament Speaker would approve re-voting for a second round.
Kurdistan Alliance candidate , Fuad Masum has won 175 votes, while the candidate , Hanan al- Fatlawi obtained 37 votes and the third candidate , Faeq al-Sheikh Ali got 10 votes
.
The Speaker of the Parliament decided to re-vote on the top candidates who got most of the votes.
The candidate in the first round must get 220 votes, two-thirds of the members of the parliament composed of 328
