Basra Agriculture: Implementation of 90% of the summer agricultural plan

On Sunday, the Basra Agriculture Directorate announced the implementation of 90% of the agricultural plan for the summer season.
The Director General of the Basra Agriculture Directorate, affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture, Hadi Hussein Ghab, said in a statement followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the plan included the cultivation of 13,563 dunums, which included the cultivation of okra, cucumber, eggplant, yellow and white corn, pepper, ruqyi and watermelon."
Hussein explained that "the most important problems facing the expansion of the agricultural area is the high percentage of salt in the water, which affected the increase in summer crops."
