The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement received by Mawazine News that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met today, Wednesday, September 22, 2021, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidesen, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Regional and international developments and their repercussions on international peace and security, and they also touched on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in the political, economic and cultural aspects.
The statement added: "The importance of coordinating positions on issues of common interest raised in international organizations was also stressed, and the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding to exempt holders of diplomatic, service and special passports from entry visas to both countries for the purpose of facilitating and exchanging visits between the two countries in a way that serves their common interests.
