Ishraqat Kanun confirmed, today, Sunday, its rejection of the proposed law amending the Passports Law No. 32 of 2015 in its current form.
The representative of the bloc, Basem Al-Gharabi, told /Al-Maalouma/ agency, that "granting diplomatic passports is linked to diplomatic positions and of a sovereign nature and ends with the end of those positions."
He added that "keeping that passport by job holders and their families for life is unacceptable,"
and pointed out that "the House of Representatives is going to amend this law in this manner because it contradicts the principles of social justice." End / 25 H
