    {Local: Al Furat News} The Border Ports Authority announced, on Wednesday, the results of its operations achieved during the month of September.
    The authority said in a statement, which {Euphrates News} received a copy of, that "in implementation of what was stated in the directives of the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and under the direct supervision of the director of the authority, Major General Omar Al-Waeli, the quality control operations succeeded and achieved revenues that match the volume of imports and combating corruption and smuggling in all its forms." 
    He added: "The Border Ports Authority's efforts in supervising, controlling, following up and scrutinizing the work of the working departments and all goods and travelers coming into the country have paid off." 
    And he indicated that "the results and statistics achieved during the month of September were (86) referrals that joined (control, destruction and reissue) with the efforts of the commission and high-level coordination with the relevant authorities and in the framework of exchanging security and intelligence information received by it." 
    The authority indicated that it “confronted the schemes of the weak-willed and was able to seize (63) consignments that varied between containers coming through the sea ports and trucks and refrigerators through the land ports with the efforts of the authority and its own sources, in addition to the information received from the National Intelligence Service and the Intelligence and Licensing Division, and the Border Ports Authority destroyed (articles of Food, medical supplies, toys, and labeled packaging) in violation of the conditions and controls of storage and import, at the rate of (10) consignments.
    As part of the commission's activities in the month of September, (11) consignments were reissued, which did not meet the fundamental approvals, to allow them to enter the country.
    In another context, the Border Ports Authority continues its continuous support for the health situation to confront the Corona pandemic, by facilitating the task of entering medical aid and human vaccines, in addition to facilitating the procedures for entering tanks loaded with liquid medical oxygen gas.
    Committees were formed from the competent authorities, organizing fundamental arrest reports and referring them to the judiciary to take legal measures against violators.
