    {Economic: Al-Furat News}, in charge of the duties of the Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim, discussed in his office at the ministry's headquarters, the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Iraj Masjedi, supporting Iraq with electric energy to meet the increasing demand for the national system.
    A statement issued by the Ministry of Electricity today, and the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, stated that "during the meeting, which was held yesterday, the developments of the current production situation in Iraq and the relations between the two friendly countries were discussed, and Ambassador Masjedi expressed his country's readiness for bilateral cooperation in the field of electrical generation, and dam The gap between domestic supply and demand by finding successful alternative solutions.
    Masjedi said, "There is a preliminary agreement to allocate electric power plants within Iranian territory whose mission is to produce and export electricity to Iraq exclusively, completely isolated from the Iranian electrical system, and this, in turn, will require signing contracts and agreements, taking into account the necessity of holding preliminary negotiations on the prices that must be They are in the interest of both parties, and all of them will be auxiliary factors that enhance trust and cooperation between the two countries."
    The Minister in charge of the initiative welcomed the initiative and expressed Iraq's readiness to sign a similar contract for a period of five years only, in order for Iraq to have short, medium and long-term developmental production plans that depend in their merits on clean energy projects and electrical interconnection with neighboring countries.
    He stressed, "the ministry's permanent desire to enhance and develop the Iraqi energy reality through the continuity of cooperation and support with Iranian gas supplies through strategic agreements, which are necessary to sustain the vitality of our generating stations."
