    Baghdad today - Baghdad
    Electricity Minister Ziyad Ali Fadel discussed at the ministry's headquarters with Iranian Oil Minister Javad Auchi and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Baghdad, aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy, oil and gas.
    Electricity said in a statement issued this evening, received by (Baghdad Today), that the two ministers discussed "the foundations for developing this relationship for the benefit between Iraq and Iran."
    The Iranian oil minister praised, according to the statement, "the cooperation of the Ministry of Electricity in solving the financial problems related to the purchase of electric power from Iran through the Iranian line, and other problems related to the Iranian side's entitlements for the purchase of gaseous fuel supplied to the stations."
    They also discussed "the contracts to be concluded in this regard and benefiting from the experiences of previous contracts so that the new contracts will be more mature in order to overcome the problems surrounding them in the service of the public interest."
