    On Thursday, the Federal Service Council announced the appointment of about 56,000 graduates who are covered by the law for the gradation of medical professions, and they have actually started their jobs.

    The Director-General of the Coordination and Follow-up Department in the Council, Aram Sabah Othman, said in a statement to the official newspaper, followed by "Nass" (October 21, 2021), that "about 56 thousand graduates of medical colleges who are covered by the law for the gradation of medical professionals have been appointed, and they have taken up their jobs, as well as Follow up on the remaining numbers of those covered who are still in the process of scrutiny, which number about seven thousand and 38 names.  
      
    He added that "the council is working to complete the transactions of those covered by the above law in order to complete the transactions of graduates of the faculties supporting the faculties of medicine, who are graduates of the faculties of science, as well as following up the file of those covered by Laws 59 and 67 related to the appointment of holders of higher degrees and the first three to their faculties."  
      
    Othman stressed, "The formation of audit committees to follow up on the appointments mechanism for the 2021 budget for the mentioned laws, followed by the work of the examination committees that will announce the names of the winners, after which the appointments file will be transferred to the objections committee, where the committee works to consider all objection requests related to this file."  
      
    He explained that "the council formed a committee to evaluate new recruits according to the budget law, especially after stopping all appointments for other specialties and limiting them to appointing those covered by the Third Amendment Law of the Law No. 6 of 2000 on the apprenticeship of medical professionals and the colleges supporting medical colleges."  
      
    Othman pointed out that "the appointment of graduates for humanitarian and other scientific specializations requires job grades approved by the concerned authorities."  
      
    And he indicated that "the Council is working to accomplish what was approved in the 2021 budget for the paragraph on appointments for medical professionals and supporting colleges, which will end according to the end of the fiscal year for the 2021 budget on December 31 of this year."  
      
    It is noteworthy that the council had announced several decisions regarding the appointments of the Ministry of Communications and the water directorates in the governorates of Dhi Qar and Babil, after approving the procedure for appointing Basra Water Directorate employees earlier.
