{Political: Al Furat News} Informed sources revealed that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, submitted papers as his candidacy for the presidency.
A parliamentary source revealed that "the number of candidates for the presidency of the republic has reached 44 candidates as of noon yesterday, Wednesday, which is the number of candidates to rise at the end of official working hours today, Thursday."
He pointed out that "among the candidates are women."
