The leader of the Sadrist movement in Iraq, Muqtada al-Sadr, demanded not to target the interests of the people, because he and the country are a "red line", stressing that he will continue to work to form a national majority government.

Al-Sadr affirmed his "continuity of work to form a national majority government with partners in the country."
Al-Sadr wrote on Twitter: "Do not target the interests of the people, for the people and the country are a red line."

The Iraqi Security Media Cell announced that the airport was hit by six missiles, which damaged two planes and the airport runway, and that three other missiles were found west of the capital, Baghdad.
