The leader of the State of Law coalition, Jassim Muhammad Jaafar, said, on Saturday, that the Sadrist bloc’s announcement of freezing negotiations with the political blocs regarding the formation of the next government until further notice indicates the anxious state of the Sadrists after the Federal Court’s decision that the election of the President of the Republic was only granted by two-thirds. Considering that the majority government has ended and the political forces will return to form a consensus government.
Jaafar said in a statement to "Information", "The Sadrist movement's decision to freeze negotiations with the political blocs regarding the formation of the next government and instruct their deputies not to attend the presidential election session confirms the anxious state of the Sadrists after the Federal Court's decision that the election of the president of the republic is only two-thirds."
He added that "the majority government has ended and the Sadrists must sit with the parties to the framework and open new dialogues to form a consensus government," likely at the same time the Sadrists go to the opposition.
