At the invitation of the Executive Director of the Iraqi Railways Authority, during which two intensive meetings were held.
He added, "One of the issues discussed is the construction of the Shalamcheh-Basra railway, through which the rail link between Iran and Iraq will be conducted and will bring social and economic benefits to the two countries and peoples."
He explained that the establishment of this railway will help in directing visitors from different regions of Iran to Shalamcheh and thus access from Basra to Karbala, as well as increasing trade exchange, stressing by saying, "During the visit, we reached good understandings with the Iraqi side, as we inspected the two train stations in Baghdad and Karbala." .
