Earth News/ The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan announced today, Sunday, the boycott of the Iraqi parliament session dedicated to electing the new president of the republic, next Saturday.
The leader of the Union, Ghiath al-Sorji, told "Earth News", "The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has not, until this moment, taken an official decision to participate in the Iraqi parliament session dedicated to electing the new president of the republic, next Saturday, or to boycott this session, but he will make a decision. Officially boycott over the next two days.
He added, "The Shiite framework is very close to us, and that is why it will interrupt with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan the session to elect the new president of the republic, and for this we will use the (blocking third), to prevent the session and the passage of the Kurdistan Democratic Party candidate for the presidency of the republic."
