    Today, Monday, a member of the House of Representatives and former Minister of Labor, Adel Al-Rikabi, revealed an upcoming bill to be submitted to Parliament, which includes expanding the inclusion of new families in the social protection network with the possibility of increasing the salaries of retirees. 
    Al-Rikabi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "last year's budget witnessed the allocation of funds to include families without income in social protection services, as well as services related to people with disabilities and according to the law in force," noting that "these allocations were raised and added to the sections of the exchange. Others outside the budget of the Ministry of Labor; what affected the program for the inclusion of new families."
    He explained, "This year, and in the event of a delay in forming a government, the current caretaker government will start providing immediate and timely remedies in the form of a draft law and submitting it to the House of Representatives that includes allocating sufficient funds to expand the inclusion of families to the social protection network."
    He added, "The bill may include an increase in the subsidy ceiling as well, under a new law independent of the budget law, as well as the possibility of approving an increase for other groups, such as retirees and other groups of society."
    And he continued, "The government is heading, in coordination with the House of Representatives, in the event of the delay in forming the government and not approving the budget, towards resorting to a quick law, which is in the last stages of its preparation in order to address the current situation suffered by the weak and non-income segments, as well as to address the resulting devaluation.
