, Hakim Al-Zamili, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, confirmed his participation in the meeting of the opinion board in the Ministry of Higher Education to resolve the expansion of academic seats for postgraduate students, next Sunday, corresponding to March 27, 2022.
A statement by Al-Zamili's office stated that Mawazine News received a copy of it. This came after reaching with the Minister of Higher Education during an expanded meeting held today at the request of hosting 25 deputies to the Presidency of the Council, and attended by a number of deputies and representatives of graduate students demonstrating for this day, to discuss a number of problems that students face. Undergraduates, including: expanding the admission plan for postgraduate studies, the possibility of conducting a third “complementary” role for students of primary and higher studies, and fixing wages and contracts from the Ministry’s employees, in addition to appointing the first students in universities, and reducing the wages of universities and private colleges.
The first deputy noted that "there are great problems facing students and Iraqi universities at home in terms of their infrastructure and absorptive capacity, which calls for a deliberate and urgent work to address them in a way that reflects positively on the scientific sobriety of these universities, in addition to the need to work on solving the problems facing Iraqi students. Abroad with universities, length of stay, and the mechanism of equivalence of academic certificates.
The Minister and the advanced cadre in the Ministry of Education listened to the questions posed by the representatives on the issue of hosting, pledging to put them before the opinion panel and to resolve it positively in the presence of the First Deputy early next week. Ended 29 / h
