Twilight News / Information Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said Monday that the latter held a meeting of the Ministerial Committee energy.
According to a statement issued by the office that during the meeting was to discuss the functioning of the electric power stations and provide citizens with electricity and approve a number of measures and facilities to supply and purchase fuel and maintenance to improve the power situation.
The statement added that it was stressed that the expansion of smart metering of electricity for citizens in homes, which have been tested in one of the areas of Baghdad experience (Zayouna) and witnessed great success in terms of continuously supplying electricity, reduce consumption at the same time.
The statement pointed out that the committee stressed the importance of increasing gas production to what constitutes a paramount importance for Iraq.
The statement added that he got the consent of the Commission on the completion of Nazem Abu Sakhir project in the province of Najaf and the provision allocated for this project amounts.
The statement continued that during the meeting will also review the previous decisions and directives and discuss a range of topics on the agenda and make decisions about them.
