Shafaq News/ Foreign remittances of the dollar rose in the sales of the Central Bank of Iraq by more than 88%, on Sunday, at the expense of cash sales.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that the Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 191 million and 560 thousand and 606 dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
He added that more than 88% of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 171 million and 210 thousand and 606 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales amounting to 20 million and 350 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 28 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, while 12 banks participated to meet cash requests, in addition to 138 mediation companies and 12 exchange companies.
