Shafaq News/ Foreign remittances from the US dollar rose in central bank sales by more than 83% at the expense of cash sales in Monday's auction.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that, during its auction, today, the Central Bank sold 203 million and 233 thousand and 630 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that more than 83% of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 172 million and 283 thousand and 630 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 29 million and 950 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 30 banks responded to requests to enhance balances abroad, while 14 banks participated to meet cash requests, in addition to 141 mediation companies and 16 exchange companies.
