Shafak News/ Foreign remittances from the dollar rose in the Central Bank's sales significantly at the expense of cash sales in today's auction.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 216 million and 900, two thousand and 498 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added; More than 84% of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, amounting to 187 million and 652 thousand and 498 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 29 million and 250 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 31 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, while 10 banks participated to meet cash requests, in addition to 103 mediation companies and 25 exchange companies.
