    On Friday, a high-ranking source in the Anbar local government admitted that there was political pressure that prevented the disclosure of financial and administrative corruption files in the Anbar Agriculture Directorate.
    The source said in a statement to the agency, “The Information” that “political pressures prevented the disclosure of the costs of financial and administrative corruption in the Anbar Agriculture Department, following the disappearance of huge sums of money estimated at billions of dinars, which were paid in the name of the agricultural plan. Department of Agriculture backed by influential political parties.”
    The source added that "a security force arrested a number of employees of the concerned department, and as a result of political pressure, they were released without knowing the fate of an amount estimated at more than 10 billion dinars allocated to the agricultural plan in Anbar, indicating that" many files of financial and administrative corruption in government departments were not opened until the formation of the government. He explained that “the integrity committees are tied and cannot work completely freely because of political interference, not to mention that some members of these committees are linked to the ruling political parties, which makes it impossible to uncover the hidden and refer the corrupt to the judiciary.”
