The Yazidi MP Mahma Khalil warned, on Saturday, of the consequences of the continuation of the military and political escalation in the Sinjar district, indicating that the collapse of the situation in Sinjar will lead to the collapse of the security situation in Nineveh as a whole.
Khalil said in a statement to Al-Maalouma that "the recent military escalation, raising arms, and using threatening language between the parties in Sinjar will lead to more dangerous escalation."
He added, "There is an international conspiracy led by the intelligence services to plunge the army into an armed conflict and take advantage of the chaotic situation in Sinjar and then Nineveh."
He pointed out that "the only solution is to work on comprehensive political reconciliation, ban weapons in all their details, and declare the judiciary a completely demilitarized zone to prevent any future security breach."
Observers warned that the caretaker government headed by Al-Kazemi seeks to plunge the army into a battle in which it has no interest in the Sinjar district in order to fulfill Barzani's wishes. finished/25 d
