The independent deputy, Basem Khashan, confirmed today, Sunday, that the Federal Court has officially suspended the procedures of the Emergency Food Security Support Law, and while he indicated that the caretaker government is supposed to adhere to its daily duties only, he accused the government of violating the constitution and wasting huge funds.
Khashan said that "the Federal Court put an end to the farce that was taken regarding the Food Security Law and its constitutional violations, and the way in which the law was issued by the caretaker government, and referred it to the House of Representatives."
He added, "The House of Representatives took a long time in discussions and disagreements and divisions occurred due to food security," stressing that "the whole law is unconstitutional, and the parliament's effort has become scattered for nothing."
The independent representative explained that, “there is no other formula or law except with the presence of a government with full powers, as for the caretaker government, it is supposed to adhere to its daily duties only,” noting that “Al-Kazemi’s outgoing government exceeded the constitution and wasted huge funds.”
He pointed out that "if the law is applied correctly, the penalty due against the outgoing Al-Kazemi is 300 years in prison."https://khabaar.press/archives/83316
