    [size=45]Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) - The former Iraqi prime minister and head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, sparked widespread controversy after he appeared in a street with his private guard carrying a "machine gun", in light of the storming of the Iraqi parliament by demonstrators on Wednesday evening. [/size]
    [size=45]Pictures of al-Maliki and his armed men roamed a street, while the former Iraqi prime minister appeared carrying a machine gun while touring with his group.[/size]

    [size=45]The spread of these images comes after the head of the State of Law coalition issued a statement on Wednesday evening, in which he said: “The entry of demonstrators from any side to the courtyards of the House of Representatives in the Green Zone and violating the security protection of the region is a blatant violation of the legitimate right to demonstrate.. The reality may lead to Intersections with the protections of MPs and officials.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Maliki added in his statement: “Therefore, the government of brother Al-Kazemi must assume its constitutional responsibilities in protecting the security and social situation and avoiding bloodshed among Iraqis, and it will use legitimate means to deter any attack on the prestige of the state and its institutions. The right to legal protest and not to be drawn into calls for confrontation with the forces in charge of protection,” as he put it.[/size]
