And a statement received by Shafaq News Agency stated that one of the parliamentarians published, on his page on social media, false and misleading information for public opinion about the doors of the Prime Minister's Office disbursing the amount allocated to him from the Emergency Support Law for Food Security and Development (Law No. 2 of 2022). ; This should be noted, and the ambiguities raised by a deputy who exceeded the limits of his duties and legal obligations.
He added that the sums included in the "emergency support" law were voted on by the House of Representatives, and were subject to discussion and monitoring by the members of the House, including the aforementioned deputy, and he had to register his objection according to the law to those amounts; As for the Council of Ministers, its legal responsibility is to distribute these amounts to the eligible parties according to the legal tracks, and this is what actually happened.
The statement indicated that the "emergency support" law included allocating an amount of 400 billion dinars to the security and military agencies, and from this amount an amount was allocated to the Office of the Prime Minister - the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, with only half of it, amounting to 35 billion Iraqi dinars, being spent during this government to The security services associated with the office of the Prime Minister - the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, in specific doors and in certain areas, and not, as the deputy claimed, that they are furniture for the Prime Minister’s office.
He pointed out that the aforementioned amount - as stipulated in the "emergency support" law - includes all departments affiliated with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and important files that are followed up by the government, including compensation for the wounded and security support, as well as securing the requirements and expenses of all the special squad, which is concerned with securing and protecting the departments. state, green zone, etc.
And he indicated that the disbursement procedures are carried out in accordance with the legal principles and the followed contexts, and with all transparency, after they are classified in a fundamental manner by the Ministry of Finance.
And the statement of Al-Kazemi's office continued, saying, "Until this moment, the above-mentioned amount has not been disbursed, pending the completion of the official procedures for the Ministry of Finance, and obtaining its approval for the exchange."
The statement affirmed the respect and appreciation of the legislative authority and the representatives, and expressed its regret for the decline in understanding the limits of the legislative role according to the law by some MPs, who turned social networking sites into arenas for political clowning and dissemination of false and misleading documents, in the hope of gaining illegitimate sympathy, and this is not befitting the mission that is being pursued. They elected for it.
Accordingly, the statement said, the Prime Minister's Office will prosecute the violating deputy according to the law.
