Shafaq News/ The "Sadiquon" bloc affiliated with Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, led by Qais Khazali, commented today, Wednesday, on the US administration's failure to deal with the ministers in the Sudanese government of the armed factions.
The leader of the bloc, Ali al-Fatlawi, told Shafaq News agency, "Until now, the American administration has not informed the Iraqi government not to deal with any minister in the government of Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani."
And Al-Fatlawi stated that "Iraq deals with all countries according to common interests and respect for Iraq's sovereignty, and if that is America's approach in dealing with the Sudanese government according to this approach, then this is welcome, as are the rest of the countries, and if dealing is according to the policy of imposing reality and trying to dominate the Iraqi decision, then this is an issue." It is unacceptable, and we will not accept or welcome such relations with America."
This comes as a comment on what the American website "Axios" said that the administration of US President Joe Biden clearly informed the government of Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani that it would not deal with Iraqi ministers and officials associated with armed militias classified as terrorist by Washington.
The American website, in a report translated by Shafaq News Agency, quoted two well-informed sources as saying, however, that the Biden administration intends to work closely with the new Iraqi and Sudanese government, and give it the opportunity.
The site stated that Iraq is an important partner for the United States in the region, as Washington has great security and economic interests that must be protected.
However, the two sources pointed out that the Biden administration had already decided not to deal with the Minister of Higher Education, Naim al-Aboudi, who it considers to be a member of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, which it described as a militia funded by Iran, and Washington had previously classified it as a terrorist organization.
In addition, Washington is concerned about the appointment of Rabih Nader to take over the management of the media office of the Prime Minister, as Washington says that he had previously worked in the media with Asaib Ahl al-Haq and Kataib Hezbollah, which is also classified as a terrorist organization.
So far, the two sources say that the US ambassador to Baghdad has met 5 times with Al-Sudani, who took office only 3 weeks ago.
The two sources indicated that the US ambassador informed Al-Sudani of the content of the US administration's position on the issue of dealing with ministers and officials linked to the militias. Other officials in the Biden administration conveyed the same message to the Iraqi government.
While the White House refused to comment on the content of diplomatic communication with the Iraqi government, the two sources said that the Biden administration has been satisfied so far with the existing positive communication with the Sudanese government.
The two sources indicated that Washington will assess the extent of the Sudanese government's independence from Iran, based on the actions.
The two sources said that Washington is concerned that al-Sudani will not exercise sufficient control over the militias.
The two sources concluded by saying that if the militias increase their attacks on US forces, this will prompt the Biden administration to change its policy towards the Sudanese government.

Al-Asa'ib responds to the American "red card".
