"A directive was issued to phone companies to send text messages to subscribers confirming that there is no manipulation of call prices," Ali Al-Moayyed, head of the commission, said in an interview with the official news agency, followed by Mawazine News.
He added, "The Commission's teams monitored a good implementation of the decision to re-sell the prices of phone cards to what they were in the past," reiterating his call on citizens to file complaints on the number 177. And he stated, "The Media and Communications Commission will impose strict fines on phone companies in the event of fraud.
" In raising the rates of calls, as well as in not implementing the decision of the Council of Ministers, which includes the abolition of the tax imposed on recharge cards.
