[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Sajjad Salem, revealed, on Saturday, that the government is close to completing the drafting of the federal budget law, indicating that Parliament supports the government’s approach to raising the salaries of retirees.
Salem said, "The government has almost finished the federal budget law and is determined to send it soon after it has been audited."
He added, "Parliament needs two months to discuss the budget and make special amendments in order to approve it properly."
He pointed out, "The government's tendency to increase the salaries of retirees due to economic inflation is supported by Parliament, and it does not require an amendment to the law, since the retirement law granted the government the power to raise pension salaries."
