The First Lady of Iraq, Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, visited St. Joseph's Church in Baghdad, and was received by Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako, the Chaldean Patriarch in Iraq and the world.
During the visit, the First Lady of Iraq offered congratulations to Christians in Iraq and the world on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, and she also wished Christians to spend a new year full of peace, security and stability, and that this holiday becomes a source of goodness and stability for all the peoples of Iraq in general and Christians in particular.
She said: Christians have a special place in our hearts, and the coexistence between different nationalities, religions, beliefs and components is one of the characteristics and beautiful features of our country.
During the visit, the First Lady of Iraq presented special gifts to Christian children.
For his part, Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako thanked the First Lady of Iraq for her visit and her continuous support for Christians, and said we are very happy with the visit of the First Lady of Iraq.
