    Today, Monday, the Minister of Labor, Ahmed Al-Asadi, announced in numbers the new coverage of social care and the refunded amounts, while indicating that more than 44,000 displaced persons and returnees have been included in Maskanah and included in the social protection subsidy.
    Al-Asadi said, in a press conference, that "the ministry worked to send data (310,791) thousand families through the amounts allocated in the food security law in the governorates of Iraq."
    He pointed out that "(3,818) new families have been granted benefits within the social assistance program, and the amount will be raised in their smart cards within the next batch," calling on "families who did not submit an objection within the eighth batch, to go to the social protection department to file an objection."
     Al-Asadi added, "The number of applicants for social care reached 2,734,031 families, as the initial numbers for the boycott of data reached the exclusion of 924,526 thousand families who have salaries in state ministries and contracts."
    And he continued, "17,500,000 families receiving more than one salary were suspended, in addition to the suspension of 2,086 families as a result of the appearance of more than one fingerprint through their Qi Card, in addition to the suspension of 226 families as a result of the appearance of more than one entry on the social protection databases." In addition, 13,498,000 families were re-audited as a result of their receipt of social protection benefits and loans, as the amounts they owed were recovered. 
    He pointed out, "The Ministry has taken legal measures against 542 individuals and families as a result of the process of forging official documents, in addition to that the Council of Ministers has been approached to extinguish the debts of transgressors with disabilities and martyrs," stressing that "more than fourteen billion dinars have been recovered from transgressors on the protection subsidy." Social".
    He stated that "104,322 thousand families were referred for audit because they had not received their benefits for more than 6 months," stressing that "more than 27 billion dinars have been recovered to the Social Protection Fund from unreceived benefits."
    He pointed out that "the ministry will implement the broader survey through a sectoral survey focused on the poorest districts in all governorates," pointing to "increasing the ceiling of the social protection subsidy if the country's general budget for 2023 is approved." 
    "We directed the Social Protection Authority to accept the sponsorship of security forces employees, and to release all suspended benefits," al-Asadi added.
    And he noted that "the beneficiaries of social protection will be given an additional food basket for a period of 12 months," noting that "more than 44,000 displaced persons and returnees are included in the social protection subsidy."
