    Parliament and the government may hold new elections for the provincial councils, after which the governors will be replaced.
    At the beginning of this month, the leader in the coordination framework, Turki Jadaan, confirmed that the governors' performance evaluation committee had started its actual work.
    The representative of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Adnan Al-Juhaishi, said that the service situation in Basra is bad and there are no strategic plans.
