The President of the Republic, Dr. Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, affirmed today, Saturday, that the martyrs are present among us and in the memory and conscience of the people.
And the President of the Republic said, at the official memorial ceremony on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim, “Every year we recall with pain the memory of the martyrdom of His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim in a cowardly terrorist crime, at a time when Iraq was in dire need of the noble qualities that he enjoyed.” The great martyr.
He added, "His Eminence was martyred, and with this martyrdom concluded a long journey of struggle and jihad for Iraq and for the sake of the Iraqi people. His Eminence's role in the movement of national and religious opposition to dictatorial rule was a remarkable role in the continuous work for the unity of the opposition's national action."
He continued, "His role was vital in introducing the world to the suffering of Iraqis under the authority of tyranny, and in the jihadi work to eliminate dictatorship and establish a democratic system that guarantees justice for all."
And he continued: "This was the role of Ayatollah Martyr Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim in political life after the fall of the dictatorship regime. He was keen on the unity of Iraqi national efforts in order to establish a just system in which everyone enjoys freedom and dignity, far from narrow tendencies, and far from marginalization and exclusion."
He continued his speech: "Sayyid al-Hakim was martyred, but he remained alive between us through what he left behind of the national, struggle and jihadist heritage and the wisdom that we have always known in him."
And he added, "We, honorable gentlemen, recall the memory of His Eminence's martyrdom, and with it the memory of all the martyrs who sacrificed, worked, strived, and struggled for a free, fair, and federal democratic Iraq."
And he added, "The martyrs are present among us and in the memory and conscience of the people, while the murderers, tyrants, criminals and terrorists are destined in the wastes of history. The greatest thing we can offer to the righteous martyrs is to continue working for an Iraq that enjoys security and stability, in order to enhance the experience of democratic construction, and from In order to consolidate and develop the capabilities of the state and its capabilities in a way that serves the aspirations of the people.
