    Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Oil confirmed, on Wednesday, that it is moving forward with its plans to increase the area of ​​using the liquid gas system in vehicles by increasing the number of technical workshops to add the liquid gas (LPG) system to vehicles in Baghdad and the governorates.
    The spokesman for the Ministry of Oil, Assem Jihad, said in a statement today that the ministry, in line with its plans to expand the area of ​​​​using the liquid gas system for vehicles instead of gasoline or kerosene fuel, has put the final touches to the draft partnership contracts with private sector companies specialized in the manufacture of liquid gas systems for vehicles. , which will work and contribute in cooperation with the Gas Filling and Services Company to increase the number of technical workshops to add the system in Baghdad and the provinces.



    He pointed to the importance of expanding the use of the gas system for vehicles by citizens, due to its great economic and environmental returns, which is represented by converting the fuel used in vehicles into clean fuel that is less expensive and harmful to the safety of society, because it is environmentally friendly and relieves the citizen of the high financial expenses of using gasoline fuel.
    For his part, the General Manager of the Gas Mobilization and Services Company, Anmar Ali Hussein, said that the commission in charge has completed the preparation of the economic feasibility study and the mechanisms of contracting with specialized companies.
    He emphasized the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, on the importance of involving the private sector through contracting with specialized, discreet companies, with the aim of expanding the work space for workshops to add the system and increase its numbers, in a manner commensurate with the size of the increasing turnout by citizens, as studies related to contract models have been completed. And announcing the invitation of companies during the next few period
    The Director General added that these measures come due to the increasing demand for the technical workshop that is currently operating, in addition to the Ministry's keenness to increase the number of vehicles that run on liquid gas fuel, which is a clean type of fuel that reduces pollution and also has economic returns for consumers, especially since the price of liquid gas fuel is supplied For vehicles (200) dinars per liter compared to the price of fuel equipped with both types of improved and normal.
    It is noteworthy that the Council of Ministers issued Resolution No. 360 of 2017, which includes in Paragraph 5 of it, "to authorize the Ministry of Oil / the gas filling company the authority to enter into partnership contracts with specialized companies to expand the workshops for adding these systems and establishing liquid gas filling stations throughout Iraq."
