[size=45]Today, Monday, May 6, 2024, President Masoud Barzani met with an Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Mr. Hassan Salem, Chairman of the Committee of Martyrs, Victims and Political Prisoners in the Iraqi Parliament, and with the membership of the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Shawan Muhammad Rustom, and members of the committee, Messrs. Hussein Nimah Al-Battat and Messrs. “Shirwan Dobardani,” “Jarro Muhammad,” “Doha Hashem Al-Qaseer,” and “Abdul Amir Al-Mayahi.”
[size=45]During the meeting, which was attended by Messrs. “Fares Issa,” Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Representative Office in Baghdad, “Perfan Hamdi,” Undersecretary of the Ministry of Martyrs and Anfal in the Kurdistan Regional Government, and “Safwan al-Jarjari,” Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, His Excellency President Masoud Barzani spoke about the crimes of murder and genocide that The people of Kurdistan were exposed to it at the hands of the previous regime, which began with the revolt of the Faili Kurds and members of the Barzan clan, and then the chemical bombing of the city of Halabja and several other areas in the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
[size=45]President Barzani directed the audience to work hard for the half-families and families of the martyrs, the Anfal, and all the victims of the previous regime, and to keep this humanitarian file away from political debates and quarrels, and to achieve justice in the service of this sacrificial segment, whose blood of martyrs had great merit in overthrowing the exterminated dictatorial regime.[/size]
