     Baghdad today - Baghdad 
    The Ministry of Oil, represented by the Petroleum Products Distribution Company, announced today, Monday (May 6, 2024), the recovery of nearly one billion dinars and the seizure of 3 million liters of fuel intended for smuggling in Iraq.
    The company's general manager, Hussein Talib, disclosed in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", "the details of the quantities that were seized during years of the painstaking work of the company's inspection staff, which amounted to approximately (3) million/liter of all types of fuel in various governorates."
    He stressed, "The Ministry of Oil and the Distribution Company are following up on these important issues that affect the country's security and tampering with its money by recovering it and implementing the national strategy to combat corruption and the scourges of smuggling." 
    For his part, Director of the Inspection Authority, Alaa Adnan Mahmoud, confirmed, according to the statement, “the company will continue through the preparation of strategic organizing plans by the inspection staff to follow up on smuggling operations everywhere and pursue fuel smuggling gangs,” revealing at the same time “the types of petroleum products that were seized.” Their quantities and amounts are as follows: 
    - Gasoline: approximately (700) thousand / liter - the amount is approximately (317) million dinars 
    - Gas oil: more than (725) thousand / liter - Amount: approximately (303) million dinars 
    - White oil: more than (one million and 300 thousand) liters - Amount: approximately (303) million dinars 
    - Black oil: approximately (348) thousand / liter - Amount: approximately (35) million dinars 
    - Diesel: approximately (55) thousand / liter - Amount: approximately (7) million / dinars 
    - Damaged oils: approximately (166) thousand / liter - Amount: more than (33) million dinars 
    - Miscellaneous petroleum derivatives such as (fuel oil, oils, unknown products, gas cylinders): more than (2000) liters - ⁠Amount: approximately (3) million dinars
