Assistant Director General of the Southern Refineries Company, Ibrahim Abdel Zahra, confirmed today, Monday (May 6, 2024), that the Azmara unit will reduce imported gasoline and provide hard currency to the country.
Abdul Zahra said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the isomerization unit is one of the most important units that maximize gasoline production in terms of quantity and quality,” noting that “the capacity of 11 thousand barrels from the isomerization unit, meaning an average of 1,300 to 1,500 cubic meters, enters the gasoline basin.” "It is a great success for the Ministry of Oil and the Southern Refineries Company."
He added, "The entry of this large production reduces imports from abroad and thus provides hard currency to the country."
