    [size=45]On (April 9, 2024), Representative Mudar Al-Karawi revealed the start of the second phase of investigations into the theft of the century in Diyala Governorate.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Karawi said in a statement to the “Baghdad Today” news agency, “The embezzlement of billions of dinars of compensation funds in Diyala has revealed accumulated and systematic corruption taking place in one of the most important departments of the governorate’s office, in which employees are involved,” pointing out that “the second phase of the investigation operations is being conducted by Central and sub-committees in Baquba, with the support of Baghdad, have actually begun in order to accelerate the pace of investigation and uncover more violations.”[/size]
