New controls from the Central Bank regarding the transfer of dollars abroad (documents)

Shafaq News / The Central Bank of Iraq issued, on Sunday, the controls for external transfer of foreign currency for the year 2023, while specifying the parties allowed to be legally funded through the newly adopted "electronic platform" mechanism.
This came, according to several documents issued by the Central Bank, and received by Shafaq News agency, which included the importance of achieving the bank's goals by strengthening the role of the banking system and non-banking financial institutions, in securing foreign currency to beneficiaries.
This comes days after warnings issued by the Central Bank of Iraq, against dealing with applications, websites and platforms that engage in betting and trade in money using the bank's name and logo as an interface for it.
It is noteworthy that the Central Bank has recently followed a new auction mechanism for selling foreign currency, in accordance with the requirements and conditions of the Federal Bank, in order to track the dollar and stop attempts to smuggle currency abroad.
