[rtl]Baghdad / NINA /- The Committee of the Regions and Governorates that are not affiliated with the Parliamentary region held a meeting today, chaired by Representative Khaled Al-Darraji, Chairman of the Committee, and in the presence of its members and advisors, to discuss the most important laws on its agenda at its headquarters in the Parliament.
The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement that: “During the meeting, paragraphs of the Provincial Councils Law No. 21 of 2008 were discussed and read. The committee decided to submit a memorandum to the Supreme Commission for Provincial Councils in the Council of Ministers to provide it with the final version of the law after making the appropriate amendments to it.” .
She added, "The proposal for the third amendment law to the provincial and district council elections law No. 12 of 2018 was discussed, and it was agreed to present the draft proposals and amendments submitted by the committee's advisors to its members for study and opinion on them.”
The committee recommended continuing to hold meetings on the two laws in order to reach a final draft for them[/rtl]
