Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani affirmed today, Wednesday, the government's keenness to maintain the best relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, a copy of which Mawazine News received, that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hussein Amir Abdullahian, and his accompanying delegation."
The statement added, "The meeting witnessed discussions of bilateral relations between the two countries, a number of regional and international issues of common concern, and an emphasis on strengthening prospects for cooperation in the security, economic and cultural fields."
During the meeting, Al-Sudani affirmed the Iraqi government's keenness to maintain the best relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the desire to consolidate cooperation and partnership in various fields.
